“whatever is good. . .
Before the main course, an appetizer.
Sorry—not all that appetizing appetizer.
Poll shows most believe the pandemic is
a message from God.

In the Bible, disasters are specific to a group of people. Today’s pandemic is not group specific.
So, according to Bible precedent, the present pandemic cannot be a message from God.
Also, didn’t God already “try to get our attention”?
How did that go?
What did Jesus say in his story? [See Luke 16]
‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets,
they will not be convinced even if someone rises
from the dead.’ Luke 16:31
Fellow believers, will people listen if God would
send a pandemic?
We could pay attention to God without a pandemic.
The Bible is freely available.
Why don’t more people pay attention to God?
AMAZINGLY—God still loves us.
It is a crazy love!
We come to the main course of today’s message:
God in Jesus Christ still loves us and wants us to liv
e with him now and forever and Jesus made that possible.
SO, the practical problem is how to stay positive in a pandemic and the answer is GOD.
Philippians 4:3-6
Hear again the Apostle’s words:
The Bible can help keep us positive in ANY crisis.
“How to stay positive. . .”
--"always look for the helpers” --Fred Rogers
God is working in the world still (John 5:17).
The Apostle Paul said that "God is working for good. . .”
There is evil in the world, believers do not deny that.
God is also working things for good. (Romans 8:28)
Let’s hear from another believer—a survivor;
a two time survivor named Christina. . .

This is what a relationship with the Lord
can do. Where is God in a disaster?
God in Jesus is WITH YOU.
[See Philippians 4:6.] Amen.
