The New Testament talks about growth.
.Jesus talked about growth. . .
There are several parables (growth and the Kingdom
of God): Matthew 13:33 (also in Luke),
Matthew 13:3-23, Mark 4:3-8
Also see: Mark 4:30-32, Matthew 13:24-30, 36-43,
Matthew 13:47-50.
See also: Ephesians 4:15 (KJ21 or ESV),
Hebrews 12:15, 1 Peter 2:2,
Consider fruit trees, “fruit” trees, blueberries
and asparagus.
Our place in the Kingdom of God:
Philippians 3:20.
Jesus contrasts the beginning and the end.
Jesus expressed a confidence in God.
The yield is there, what about harvesters/
workers/laborers?
Matthew 9:38, Luke 10:2
In our lifetimes there is a continual harvest.
See John 15:6.
Can you spiritually look around in a new year
to see fruit?
--the Day Care Center?
--sermons on the internet?
--help for people in need?
--Vacation Bible School?
--“mitten” tree
--more?
Will we have the confidence in God
that is portrayed in Jesus stories?
Although even the Apostle Paul struggled
struggled concerning his own people.
(Romans 11:1)
What do you see in 2019 and beyond?
Jesus said, “believe in God, believe also in me. .
have faith in God
. . .have faith also in Jesus Christ. . .
(John 14:1)
Amen.
