What DOES Resurrection Mean? (John 19:20-23)
Gary McManus, 04/16/2017Part of the Easter series, preached at a Sunday Morning service
The first words of Jesus, resurrected from the dead, recorded ton his disciples: “peace.” John’s Gospel records it TWICE!
See John 19:20-23. Peace comes from God!
Jesus’ resurrection proves that Jesus IS who Jesus says that he is. Everything Jesus said was true.
Jesus is the great I AM. John 20:27 (to Thomas):
“stop doubting and believe.” Check other versions.
We of the Christian (faith) religion believe God is still able to speak to our needs—even in the 21st Century.
Jesus was far more than a great man. Jesus Himself
is our peace. Phillipians 4:7, John 14:27, John 16:33
