First Easter Wasn't All that Great (Mark 16:1-2)
Gary McManus, 04/16/2017Part of the Easter series, preached at a Sunrise Service service
The Sunrise Service at churches, says one expert,
“one of the oldest rituals of the church—simply
gathering on Easter early Sunday morning.”
The first Easter wasn’t THAT great.
Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. The
one who believes in me will live, even though they die. . .”
This is the ONLY place that “resurrection” is mentioned
in Matthew, Mark, Luke or John!
What happened on that first Sunday morning after
Jesus’ crucifixion was a mystery.
Hear and see what happened:
Mark 16:1-2, Matthew 27:62-66, John 20:1-10,
Luke 24:13-27, Romans 1:1-6, Titus 2:11-14,
Hebrews 13: 20-21.
